Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized today, Thursday, the ongoing conflict that Israel is engaged in until the liberation of all the hostages and the eradication of the Hamas movement's threat.
During a press conference, Netanyahu conveyed to Biden that following the ceasefire, Israel will resume its commitments in dismantling Hamas. Since the commencement of the war, we have been tirelessly working towards the safe return of all the abductees. The combination of military pressure on Hamas and international political pressure has played a significant role in reaching a hostage exchange agreement.
Furthermore, the Red Cross will be granted access to visit the remaining detainees in the Gaza Strip. The war will persist until Hamas is completely dismantled, ensuring that the Gaza Strip no longer poses a threat to Israel.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant expressed, "We are actively working towards dismantling Hamas as both an organization and a leadership. We strike them relentlessly on a daily basis, as Hamas solely comprehends the language of force. The accomplishments of our forces in battles have greatly contributed to the achievement of a hostage exchange agreement. I am pleased that we will soon release the hostages, and I am fully committed to their safe return."
Additionally, Israeli War Council member Benny Gantz stated, "We have made a challenging decision to accept the exchange deal, and we will exert every effort to bring back the hostages. We convey to the Hamas leaders that we are a patient nation, and our perspective transcends the present moment, focusing on eternity. Hezbollah must recognize that what transpired in Gaza could potentially occur in Beirut as well."
