The 2024 Optiq is smaller and more affordable compared to the Lyriq.
Cadillac introduces its latest electric innovation, the Optiq. This small crossover vehicle marks Cadillac's fourth foray into the world of electric cars within the General Motors brand. While specific pricing and details have yet to be disclosed, the Optiq is positioned to be more affordable than its mid-sized counterpart, the Lyriq crossover, which starts at $59,000.
Anticipation builds as the Optiq is set to hit the market in the United States early next year, followed by releases in North America, China, Europe, and other key markets. Car and Driver suggests a starting price of around $45,000 or more, making the Optiq the final addition to Cadillac's lineup of electric models.
Following the success of the Lyriq, Cadillac has expanded its electric offerings with the luxurious Celestic sedan, priced at an impressive $300,000, and an all-electric version of the iconic Escalade, with a starting price of approximately $130,000.
As for the Optiq, industry experts speculate that it will utilize GM's cutting-edge Ultium batteries and may even share the same platform as the Chevrolet Equinox, harnessing the power of innovation and efficiency.
