When it comes to luxury electric cars, the Cadillac Celestiq stands in a league of its own. With its cutting-edge technology, sleek design, and unmatched comfort, the Celestiq represents a new era of automotive excellence. In this article, we will delve into the features that make the Celestiq a true icon of luxury and innovation.
In the past couple of weeks, the automaker has released a series of videos showcasing the flagship version and its unique design. The first video, titled "Be Iconic," focuses on the development of the Celestiq and emphasizes the need for something "provocative" to usher in the era of electric cars.
The video also highlights the car's mass customization, which means that no two models will be the same. Another video, called "Bespoke Individualism," delves into the craftsmanship that sets the Celestiq apart from more mainstream models like the Lyriq. While the electric crossover's interior is impressive, it doesn't compare to the flagship's ultra-luxury interior, which takes inspiration from fashion and furniture design.
Although the video doesn't provide many details, it mentions that the car features tanned leather made from coffee bean husks and stainless steel stamped speaker grilles. Other videos touch on the Ultra Cruise semi-autonomous drive system and provide more in-depth discussions about the car's design. The most recent video also highlights the Celestiq's innovative use of lighting, which goes beyond traditional headlights and taillights.
As a reminder, the Celestiq is equipped with a 111 kWh battery that powers a dual-motor all-wheel drive system. The estimated power output of this configuration is 600 horsepower (447 kilowatts / 608 metric horsepower) and 640 pound-feet (867 Newton-meters) of torque.
The car can reach a speed of 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in only 3.8 seconds and has a range of around 300 miles (483 km) when fully charged, according to these given specifications.
