Twitter launched its new logo on Monday, replacing the blue bird with the letter X, as part of a rebranding.

On Monday, Twitter introduced its latest logo, as a part of a rebranding strategy, in which the familiar blue bird has been replaced by the letter "X".

The social media platform currently displays the new logo of the company, which consists of a white "X" on a black background.

Elon Musk, the entrepreneur and owner of the platform, Twitter, declared that he plans to modify the Twitter logo.

On Sunday evening, he posted a tweet from his account stating that the Twitter brand and all the bird symbols will soon be phased out. He further hinted at the possibility of the new logo being the letter "X" in a subsequent tweet.

The blue bird has left its place on the platform and has been substituted with the letter "X" that accompanies the "X Corp" organization. Musk envisions this corporation to be an umbrella entity that caters to the diverse requirements of users in the digital realm.

In April 2023, Musk renamed the company "X Corp" after buying Twitter for $44 billion the previous year. He consistently talked about his plan to expand Twitter's offerings, including the potential for financial services akin to China's "WeChat" platform.

Bluebird's end

The blue bird made its debut on the logo in 2010, alongside the word Twitter, before becoming exclusively associated with the logo from 2012 until Monday morning.

Twitter became no longer an independent company from last year as it merged with a newly established company known as X Corp.

In October of last year, Musk composed a tweet stating that: "Buying Twitter is an accelerant to creating X, the everything app".

Musk aims to consolidate all the necessary services for individuals into one single application, eliminating the requirement to download numerous apps on their mobile phones.
