The vehicle will be available for sale in early 2024, with an online preview now accessible. The updated model showcases both exterior and interior enhancements, as well as the introduction of a new Z71 version, specifically designed for off-road driving.

The Z71 Traverse boasts a wider and higher frame, resulting in increased ground clearance. It also features all-terrain tires, distinct 18-inch wheels, an exclusive dual-clutch system, and an AWD all-wheel drive system. With its unique face and red tow hooks, the Z71 Traverse offers an improved approach angle.

In terms of performance, the SUV is equipped with special dampers and hydraulic control, along with driver-selectable driving modes, including a Terrain Mode with Hill Descent Control. Additionally, the Traverse RS model is now available with distinctive badging, new 22-inch high-gloss black aluminum wheels, black accents on the grille and roof rails, and illuminated lighting upon approach. The interior of the Traverse RS is highlighted by a flat-bottomed three-spoke steering wheel and Jet Black and Red accents.

2024 Chevrolet Traverse specifications 

The 2024 Chevrolet Traverse will be equipped with two engine options. The first is a new 2. 5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, generating 315 horsepower and 430 Newton meters of torque.

The second option is a 3. 6-liter V6 engine, similar to the one found in the current model, producing 310 horsepower and 361 Newton meters of torque. Both engines come equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission and provide the option of either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

As for seating arrangements, the LS version of the Traverse comes standard with eight seats, distributed as two in the front and three in each of the second and third rows. The Traverse LT, Z71, and RS models also have the option for eight seats, but can be configured with seven-passenger seating, featuring two separate seats in the second row. The Traverse RS includes one-touch power-folding second-row seats and power-folding third-row seats as standard.

When all the seats are folded down, the Traverse offers an impressive 97. 6 cubic feet of storage space. Furthermore, the SUV comes with an available AutoSense lift door, a first in its class.

Inside the cabin, the 2024 Chevrolet Traverse is equipped with a large 17. 7-inch infotainment system screen, surpassing the size of the largest screen available in the 2023 model by over 75%. The vehicle also provides six standard USB ports, wireless charging capabilities, and the option to add a WiFi hotspot.

The driver benefits from an expanded 11-inch digital display. The center console has been redesigned and now includes a column-mounted electronic shifter. Additional features include heated seats in the front and second rows, a heated steering wheel, heated exterior mirrors, and the availability of Super Cruise technology.

The LS and LT trims can be upgraded with the Midnight and Sport Edition packages. The Traverse also showcases new LED front and rear lighting as a standard feature. In terms of safety, the vehicle comes equipped with various driver assistance technologies, including Chevy Safety Assist, which incorporates Automatic Emergency Braking, Distance Indicator Follow-up, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist, and Pedestrian and Cyclist Warning.

As of now, the price of the updated 2024 Chevrolet Traverse has not been announced.
