The governor of Ukraine's Odessa region said on Friday that Russian missiles hit grain silos located in the south of Odessa.

The governor of the Odessa region in Ukraine stated on Friday that Russian missiles struck grain silos owned by an agricultural enterprise in the southern part of the country.

This attack resulted in two people being injured from the northern Odessa attack.

The incident took place while the Russian Navy was conducting a "training" exercise in the Black Sea, during which they fired anti-ship missiles.

Oleh Kiper, the governor of the Odessa region, mentioned that the agricultural establishment was targeted, but did not provide specific details regarding its location.

He conveyed the unfortunate news through the Telegram messaging app, stating, "Regrettably, the grain silos belonging to the agricultural enterprise in the Odessa region were bombed. The enemy destroyed 100 tons of peas and 20 tons of barley." Kiper explained that Russia had launched Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea at a low altitude to avoid detection by air defense systems.

As a result, two of these missiles hit the granaries, causing a fire.

Another missile struck the agricultural establishment itself while attempting to extinguish the fire, resulting in the destruction of agricultural and rescue equipment.

The previous day, southern Ukraine experienced another devastating night as Russian strikes targeted Odessa, a major port on the Black Sea, for the third consecutive night following the termination of a crucial agreement to supply food to the world.

Kiev accused Moscow of deliberately targeting its port infrastructure to prevent any potential re-export of Ukrainian grain.

Local authorities reported at least three civilian deaths and over twenty injuries in the bombings of Odessa and Mykolaiv, sharing images that depicted burning buildings and destroyed facades.
