Epstein’s Global Network: Documents Point to Links in Ivory Coast
Political Connections and High-Level Access
The name of Jeffrey Epstein has long been associated with powerful political figures and celebrities across the United States and Europe. Newly examined records, however, suggest his network also extended into West Africa, involving individuals connected to the family of Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara.
Correspondence attributed to Nina Keita — a former model who later held a senior role at Gestoci — dates back to around 2011. According to the documents, Keita helped facilitate introductions between Epstein and influential figures in Abidjan, arranging meetings with senior officials to discuss potential investment opportunities.
Keita reportedly began her modeling career in France in the late 1990s before returning to Ivory Coast years later, where she moved into the energy sector. She is also married to Adam Camara, the country’s Minister of Employment and Social Protection. Records indicate Epstein met Keita at Ritz Paris in 2011, after which their communication continued.
Controversial Messages and Business Interests
Some of the correspondence reflects troubling behavior consistent with patterns cited in previous investigations into Epstein. In one 2011 exchange, he allegedly asked about a young woman known to Keita, focusing on her age and requesting photographs of younger relatives — a tone investigators have previously described as characteristic of his communications.
In early 2012, Keita reportedly arranged a visit for Epstein to Abidjan, where he stayed at Hôtel Ivoire and was scheduled to meet political and economic figures. The documents suggest the relationship extended beyond social contact, with discussions about potential deals and business ventures.
Epstein is also said to have explored selling a private Boeing 727 aircraft — widely reported in media investigations as the jet later nicknamed the “Lolita Express” — and presented himself as a facilitator in possible technology and security-related agreements involving foreign firms.
Ivorian authorities have not publicly confirmed the authenticity or full implications of the reported materials. However, the revelations have renewed attention on the global reach of Epstein’s connections and how deeply his network intersected with political and business circles far beyond the United States and Europe.
